ppgg (Phone Pong) Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how wiviwvw handles information for ppgg, also called Phone Pong, and for the related online multiplayer service.
Contact: ppgg@wiviwvw.dev
Summary
ppgg is a game. We do not show ads, use advertising SDKs, sell personal information, or use third-party analytics SDKs. The app stores game settings and progress locally on your device. Online multiplayer uses Google Play Games sign-in and a wiviwvw online service so players can create, join, and match into games.
Information Stored on Your Device
The app stores gameplay preferences and progress in local app storage, such as:
- control, haptic, music, language, arena, and display preferences;
- solo and story progress;
- best scores, ladder results, coin balance derived from progress, and unlocked or owned in-game items.
This local data is not uploaded to our server for normal solo play. You can delete it by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
Google Play Games Sign-in
On Android, online multiplayer requires Google Play Games sign-in. When you use online multiplayer, Google helps confirm your Play Games identity. We use your Google Play Games player ID to let you create, join, and match into online games.
We do not receive your Google account password, and we do not keep Google sign-in credentials.
Google handles Google Play Games data under Google's own privacy practices: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Multiplayer and Network Information
For online room codes and quick match, we process:
- your Google Play Games player ID;
- temporary multiplayer session information;
- room codes and basic player roles in a match;
- connection setup information needed to link players for online play;
- IP addresses and request information needed for connection handling, abuse prevention, security, and operations.
The online service is used to connect players. After setup, gameplay data may be sent directly between players. As part of this connection setup, another player may receive network connection information needed to establish the match.
For local network play, the app may broadcast a short host label based on your device model or platform name on your local Wi-Fi network. Other players on the same local network may see that label and the local IP address needed to join your game.
If you choose to share an invite link or room code, that information is shared with the people or apps you choose.
Logs, Metrics, and Retention
We keep limited operational logs and service metrics to run, secure, debug, and improve online multiplayer. We avoid keeping sensitive connection contents in logs, and room identifiers are recorded in a reduced form where practical.
Current retention:
- temporary multiplayer sessions and room information expire quickly;
- inactive online rooms are removed automatically;
- operational logs and metrics are generally retained for up to 7 days.
We may retain limited information longer if needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute handling.
Permissions
The Android app requests only the permissions needed for gameplay and online features:
- Internet access;
- network state access;
- vibration.
The app does not request access to location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, SMS, phone state, calendar, or external storage.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide solo, local multiplayer, and online multiplayer features;
- authenticate online multiplayer sessions;
- create, join, and match room-code games;
- maintain security, rate limits, and abuse prevention;
- troubleshoot service reliability and errors;
- comply with applicable law.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information.
We may share or process information with:
- Google Play Games and Google OAuth services for player authentication;
- Google network services used for online connection setup;
- hosting, infrastructure, monitoring, and security providers that help operate the service;
- another player when needed for multiplayer connection setup or gameplay;
- authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.
Accounts and Deletion
The app does not create a separate wiviwvw account. Google Play Games sign-in is managed by Google.
To delete local game data, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. To ask about server-side data, contact ppgg@wiviwvw.dev. Because online multiplayer sessions, rooms, and logs are short-lived, most server-side records are deleted automatically under the retention periods above.
Children
ppgg is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact ppgg@wiviwvw.dev.
International Processing
Your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your country.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, server, legal requirements, or operational practices change. The updated policy will show a new "Last updated" date.
